To do things for our God?
Most of us can’t carry through
And we don’t think that’s odd.
We all pledge to be faithful
To do the things that we say.
But we can’t give up our lives
No even for one day.
Yet we have lost our direction
Just wander ‘round and ‘round.
Stand in rain that is God’s tears
We know He’s wearing a frown.
But His blessed assurance.
Is to be faithful and just.
While we were still sinners
Jesus paid the price for us.
Jesus projects an example
Of how loyal we can be.
He stands before the Father
Pleading for you and me.
Do you know what I’ve decided
To be steadfast in my pledge?
To say the things that I mean.
Not giving Satan the edge.
I will be dedicated
To the one that created me.
He will fulfill his promise
That is to make me sin free.
Romans 5:8

Just one observation: In my opinion, The last line of the last stanza flows better if you left out "That is".
