“That’s me. You must be the new guy.”
“Yep. The name is Sly.”
“My name is Slick. Pleased to meet you.”
Sly was new to the Hades’ Knowledge Control department. He’d spent the past few years working in the department of cults and religious deceptions and was just transferred.
“Any experience with the work here in Knowledge Control?”
“No. But I’ve heard about the wonderful things you guys do here. I’m eager to dive right in.”
“Great. Let me explain how we do our magic. We basically collect information on all the humans walking on the Earth, all their hopes and dreams, their disappointments too. Then we match that with their weak spots. We correlate that with possible scenarios we can lead them to and … viola! We have a place where we can eat them alive.”
“It sounds awesome! But how do we gather all this information on them?”
“We study them. We’re constantly seeking and searching to understand what they want in life and what they’re willing to do to get it. Most of them confuse things they want with things they need easily anyway. Add to that the fact that they tend to be greedy, wanting more than they often can handle, and our job becomes a lot easier.”
“Are they really that foolish?”
“Most times … even the ones who give their lives to our Enemy. He tells them to hide their lives in His sacrifice and to seek His kingdom first. And if they did, we’d be done. But many of them just can’t resist taking back control. Add in a few key life disappointments and even His key disciples can be brought down.”
“So we get information on their key people too?”
“Absolutely! Just because they give their lives to Him doesn’t stop us from seeking after them. In fact, we go after them even harder.”
“You would think our Enemy would equip them to stand against us?”
“Oh, He does! He gives them all the power they need and all the instructions too. But what good are instructions if they aren’t read or followed.”
“So we just keep gathering information, crawling about their lives, waiting for our opportunity?”
“Exactly. Each one of them faces, from time to time, crisis moments. During them, they will either choose Him or us. String enough of those moments together, and they begin to pray less. Then they read His instructions less. After a while, they stop hanging out with the other disciples. With each moment that they don’t turn to Him for strength, we stand ready to jump in with all the information we have on them.”
“Wow, this system is totally awesome.”
“It is! If they only knew how much work we put into trying to bring them down, they might work a little harder at staying close to our Enemy.”
“If they stay close to Him, is there anything we can do then?”
“Unfortunately, no. When they focus their eyes on Him, we’re powerless. When they take their eyes off Him, and look at themselves, that’s our opening.”
“I hate to admit this, but it really sounds simple on their part.”
“It is. But our job is to make them think it’s not. It will always be simple. But if we can make simple feel hard, then doubt creeps in. If they take that doubt to our Enemy then there’s nothing we can do. If they hold onto it for a while, we go to work.”
“This sounds so exciting. I can’t wait to get started.”
“Great! Pull up a chair and let’s see how many followers of our Adversary we can nudge on the path our way. And hurry … before they start reading those instructions He gave them.”

Good job, I really liked it!
I love how you cleverly used the "enemy" to view our Lord as the enemy.
The message it invoked and solidified further was - Our Savior is the most high, and when we serve Him alone-we have power over all of our enemies, and nothing will harm us in Jesus' name.
I loved the ending as well- catchy and great reading.
Nice job, one of my favorites! God Bless you~
It only just barely touched on the topic (criterion #1).
This was also strong on #6 (communication and clarity); your point was very clear, and presented in an entertaining manner.
