A story that’s as old as time.
How I came to love my Jesus;
for He’s the reason for this rhyme.
I was a child when I accepted my Jesus.
I learned to memorize His Holy Word.
I loved to listen to His wondrous stories,
because it was the greatest story I’d ever heard.
When I was a young woman I spread my wings,
and without Him I tried my best to fly.
I soon found myself drawn to a world of sin;
lost and alone, I turned to my Savior and cried.
He picked me up from my fallen state,
and I humbly confessed all my sins.
Once again He’s my Lord and Savior,
and through Him I turned from this world of sin.
As I grew in age and understanding,
to me His Holy Bible became so dear.
I longed to learn more about Him;
so to Him I could draw near.
To me He became all important.
He filled my heart, mind, body and soul.
I soon began to completely trust Him,
and now through Him I’m made whole.
To me this old world doesn’t matter.
It no long has a hold of me.
For now I live to serve my Jesus,
and do the work He purposed just for me.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all ways acknowledge Him
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

'Tell me the old old story of Jesus and his love'
it flows well and there are a few extra syllables here and there and one of two ends where the rhyme is not consistent but you have done well in not trying to force the rhyme and detract the reader from the meaning..
thank you
