Dear Lord, it’s that time again, the manuscript is ready for review. It’s labeled, bound, in an envelope addressed and stamped. Yet every time I feel it’s not good enough.
I have gone through each chapter multiple times, then about ten times as a whole, yet, I question my ability even though I know you are the author I am only the tool. But I’m a tool with flaws, and lots of them, shucks I don’t even have a clue as to the parts of speech or how to spell as the computer just corrected my last word written. Please use me in spite of my insufficiencies.
Father, I ask that you guide Gwen as she reviews this work for grammatical correctness, spelling and punctuation. Father even more so I ask that you touch her heart and challenge her to grow and inspire a new freshness in her relationship with you. If this does not touch the heart of my editor then how will it touch the heart of your people?
Lord, even now prepare the publisher for this work. Soften the hearts of the readers to the challenges you have for them. Open their eyes for the blessings awaiting them as they grow in you.
Oh, and Father, I thank you for my silly little orange and white muse named “Cheesey” as he meow’s to be let in and take his place in his ‘muse thrown.’ He brings comfort and encouragement without interrupting my train of thought with questions and challenges crying for my assistance. What a gift!
In Your precious Holy Name,
Amen! And hallelujah.
