Topic: Wow! (03/11/10)
This morning The Lord gave me vision; it was a vision of a person running while stripping off what seemed to be a very heavy vest. The vest had what resembled gold or iron bars hidden in the pockets. The runners face expressed excruciating strain, his face and garments were covered with sweat. His feet seemed limp beneath him but he was still running and contending in his race. He reached down to tear at this vest he was wearing as he realized that nothing stood between him and finish line except this extra, weight that he was wearing. The Lord says, “Strip of the entire vest; do not look for the hidden weight, just strip off the entire vest. You have been running weighed down for far too long, it is time to sever every weight.” At this word the runner seems to catch a burst of energy and momentum; t is like a sudden awakening. This is the kind of supernatural strength that one gains when he is running a race and suddenly realizes that the finish line is just ahead of him and he is one of only a few who is in true contention to win the prize. Fueled by revived hope and renewed strength to finish the course the runner begins to accelerate drawing from an inner strength from a deep desire to not only run the race to finish but to run the race to win. As he moves forward everything that has hindered him is being pulled away, everything that was once a distraction is being shed as the finish line come clearer into his view. Now he is reaching forward by sheer will, with every ounce of strength that he could muster he tenaciously burst across the finish line. And the Lord says, “Remember the race is not for the swift, it is for those who will endure until the end. I have allowed you on your course even as you were weighed down and you have endured and ran like a champion and did not turn back. Now there is a season that has come upon you suddenly and with urgency that will require you to sever every weight that weighs you down so that you can finish the race. Breakout and Breakthrough, Break out and Breakthrough, Breakout and Breakthrough. It will be as a child who breaks through his mother’s womb. Breakout for in this season you are being mantled with the breakers anointing that will cause you to break into the new. Breakout with violent force for the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes every victory by force. Let the adrenaline that now flows from heaven into the earth propel you and drive you into your future. See beyond to find your new endurance level. Strip off every weight that slows you down, set your face like flint toward your Jerusalem and be like Jesus who for the joy set before Him endured until the end. God has set the race, He has set the course before you. This should cause you to rejoice because you do not run within boundaries set by man I have charted our way; I know the way we should go.”
As a runner keeps his eyes ahead and on his course he is empowered and gains momentum as he sees the finish line approaching. We as Believers ought to keep our eyes on Jesus because He is our finish line. As the Lord brings us into a new season when you hear the Word of the Lord in your spirit it is time to secure your position, call forth the prophecy spoken for life, decree what God has said and tenaciously contend for its manifestation. This will be your season of acceleration, throw off everything that has hindered you in the last season so that you can gain supernatural speed to run unhindered and with efficiency. As a people of faith we must run this race even when the finish line is nowhere in view. We must be a people tenacious and bold enough in faith to contend in faith believing for a finish line we cannot yet see. This does not make us foolish it makes us faith-filled. There is the mantle of expectancy that God has given those who will make the decision to trust Him through the eyes of hope.

Wow, :)...this is packed with great messages. I like your analogy of the runner, running a race, we're all in, along with needing to shed our weights of being held back! Very creative.

Very strong in imagery!

Be careful to use consistent tenses--and for the sake of your readers' eyes, an extra blank space between paragraphs, please?

This story perfectly and vividly portrays what Scripture says in Hebrews 12:1, ". . . let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Very well-written and challenging! Love it!

Interesting, but needs a lot of work to make it an article. I can see using this type of punctuation(or lack thereof) if it was given as an interpretation of let's say a prophetic message in tongues. But as written as an article covering the subject "wow" it doesn't work.
