True Rictameter is 10 lines but I added more to meet the minimum word requirement.
I started with 1 syllable for the first line, so my poem is 1,3,5,7,9… you get the picture.
Redemptions Journey
White
Pure flawless
Enter thoughts, words, deeds
White becomes grayish, dirty
Gray takes flight to become black as night
Black reveals death and separation from white
Now only hopeless void of color, empty, alone
Suddenly, bright red covers all, thick penetrating, piercing
Red beckons us to; come, trust, total surrender, accept or deny
Red the color of love, sacrifice, a commitment to hearts that have turned black
The color of life, new life, renewed life forever without flaw or blemish, spotless
Red is a fact, if acknowledged or not, a choice that was made a choice to love
It’s the color of freedom, choose to stay black or let red take over
Red will not impose, but will color all who invite it in
Black consumed totally no resistance it submits
Red flows, hope returns, reveals a glimpse of peace
Spreads completely filling any void
Growing stronger getting bright
Back to thoughts, words, deeds
Red made them
White
