She stops to drink caffeine free coffee at a place called HeBrews
She walks around town in linen socks and unshackled shoes
She reads the daily scoop in a paper called the Good News
She wants to get all the news on all the blessed whose, who
She wears denim jeans, daisies in her hair and digs those godly blues
When she messes things up, she doesn’t give up she runs to
A big house with stained glasses and padded wooden pews
She walks around town in linen socks and unshackle shoes
She hops in her Beatle-bug and goes for a cruise
Stops at His Diner for some bread and humble stew
She wears denim jeans, daisies in her hair and digs those godly blues
She doesn’t need drugs and booze to make her cool
She doesn’t abuse herself to be in the groove
She walks around town in linen socks and unshackle shoes
She wasn’t born to be wild, but born to be loosed
To smile on her brother and make Jesus moves
She wears denim jeans, daisies in her hair and digs those godly blues
She walks around town in linen socks and unshackle shoes
