While the United States was once proud to display In God We Trust on our coins the new American dollar coin has taken this faith based slogan off the face of the coin and moved it to the edge of the coin where it won’t be noticed. There is also a push by Atheist’s to prevent President Elect Obama from closing his sworn into office oath with “So Help Me God.” There is also controversy over Obama’s choice of pastor Rick Warren to lead the nation in the inaugural prayer. Actress Anne Hathway is asking all those in attendance to stand and turn their backs on the minister as he begins his prayer due to his belief that marriage should be between a man and woman.
We are at a crossroad in the history of this great nation. It is a sad day when anything referring to Christianity or God must be removed from our Government in order to satisfy diversity committees, multiculturalism, and absolute nondiscrimination. The United States of America has turned its back on its own historic Christian heritage and is now trying to declare all cultures and gods equal. However, it wasn’t always that way. Listen to America’s forefather’s.
John Adams, signer of the Declaration of Independence and second President of the United States writes: “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
John Quincy Adams the sixth president stated: “There are three points of doctrine the belief of which forms the foundation of all morality. The first is the existence of God; the second is the immortality of the soul; and the third is a future state of rewards and punishments.”
Benjamin Franklin, the signer of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence wrote: “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” And he goes on with these words: “I therefore beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service.” and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 1824 wrote: “No free government now exists in the world, unless Christianity is acknowledged, and is the religion of the country.
The Antichrist spirit is no longer behind closed doors but has leashed its devilish opposition to all Christian principles that the USA once cherished. History should teach us that a nation cannot violate Gods laws without self-destructing.
Most people will admit that there’s something wrong with our nation. They can’t pinpoint what it is but they can feel it. They can feel a darkness settling over America. Isaiah 5:20 states: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.”
Will the United States of America continue to be known as the “In God We Trust” nation or will we allow the Antichrist spirit to scrub and surgically remove every mention of God and Christianity on which this great nation was founded. Time will tell.
