There’s an old toll bridge
that many will not cross,
convinced there’re many paths,
without one getting lost.
Some say because God is love,
and that Hell cannot exist.
But the lake of fire is waiting
for unbelievers who persist.
No one can take you with them!
It’s a crossing you alone must make,
setting aside all self worth and deed,
as each step, by faith, you take.
A bridge so simple, by design;
a wooden crossbar with a pole,
that was carried on the shoulders
of the One who paid the toll.
For Him it took six hours,
to make the pathway clear,
so Man would have no debt to pay
or any cause to doubt or fear.
The bridge was built with you in mind,
when the toll was paid for all mankind.
But in order to have His Work applied,
one must have faith in He who died.
