And so, an innocent’s eyes are opened at what most rational, caring adults would think is too early an age. But the mind of God knows other possibilities.
What would the young see with eyes opened? Good and evil leap to their understanding. Creator God has put His thumb print on every heart, and even the young can be drawn straight to Him. The decision is simple and perhaps more clear then, than at any other time in their life. God, the Father of Light, stretches out His hand that holds the greatest and eternal Gift of Salvation for those who seek Him. He restores trust.
One so fortunate, though young, can look forward to a lifetime of knowing God, and eventually come to recognize a need to thank Him for turning something evil to good in their life, as I did. God shined His Light on the evil and allowed me to face it rather than shrink away.
How can we really know the goodness of God without knowing evilness also? To partake of the tree of the knowledge of good AND evil...
