Topic: Evangelism (11/01/07)
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He gave authority over the earth to mankind and for a time we lived at peace with God.

Sometime before this God also created spiritual beings called angels. But some of these angels rebelled against God. The leader of this rebellion is called Satan.

Later Satan came to our ancestors and told them that God was lying to them. He told them that if they would join his rebellion they would become like gods themselves. So our ancestors joined this rebellion against God. As a result our peace with God was broken.

As time passed mankind grew and so did the distance between us and God. Any place that you find a man or woman you will find selfishness, hatred, sickness, and every evil thing. Mankind still had vague memory of God's peace and love, but in their own power they could not overcome the effects from their rebellion.

God wanted to give mankind a second chance. So he put his Spirit into the body of a man. This man's name was Jesus Christ. Jesus never committed any act of rebellion against God and demonstrated the perfect example of how God wanted mankind to live. He showed us how to live at peace with God as our ancestors did long ago.

But mankind hated Jesus because they were consumed and blinded by their own evil rebellion. They murdered Him in the most brutal way they knew how. But on the third day God raised Jesus from the dead. This was the ultimate testimony that Jesus is who he said he was. The One God promised to send to restore the peace.

Jesus told mankind that his brutal death was a gift from God paying the just punishment for their rebellion. Any person can accept this gift and receive forgiveness for their rebellion. The justice of God is satisfied for those who accept. All you have to do is accept this free gift of your own free will.

You must: admit with your mouth that Jesus is the true Way, believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and continually give up your selfish rebellious ways to follow His example. Jesus said if you do this peace between you and God will be restored. But if you reject this gift then you will receive God's justice for your part in the rebellion.

So the decision you must make is simple. Accept this gift from God or reject it. But Jesus said that this decision must be made before we die. If you do not accept the gift you will spend eternity separated from the peaceful existence that God intended. He has promised that when the message about this gift is taken to every nation the end of this rebellious world will come. The new age of peace will begin and those who have rejected Him will be cast out.

This is the message of the Bible and why I follow Jesus.

True evangelism here, great job getting it all in under 750 words, that must have taken alot of re-working.

A good way of evangelizing, giving the history of Satan's misuse of mankind leading to the saving grace of Jesus Christ to all who believe in Him and follow Him.
