Topic: Bold (emotionally) (08/30/07)
Have you looked through the old high school yearbook lately? See the picture of the gorgeous homecoming queen and head cheerleader? Yep- that’s not me. See the picture of the valedictorian and president of every student club? Nope- not me either. And don’t waste your time looking for me in the pictures of the athletically gifted. You’ll only find me pictured somewhere in the sea of the obligatory individual student portraits. I’m the one that no one will remember at the high school reunion. I am the shrinking violet.

Have you looked through the wedding album lately? Is that the same girl? Indeed- I am the blushing bride. My groom has- and continues- to transform me with his love. Through his genuine compliments and gentle encouragement he has caused the violet to bloom and sparkle. His bold vision of color has forced me to see the world in new ways. The shrinking violet is now loud lavender.

Have you looked through the Bible lately? Could it be? Has my blackened heart of sin really been washed white as snow? Only love would allow me to boldly kneel at the throne of grace and become a daughter of the king. It is this love that emboldens and beckons me to be a royal purple.

Had a very interesting start the 2nd paragraph was at first misleading then after reading the last paragraph I got the 2nd paragragh. This needs to be expanded because you really do have something here, but it ended to abruptly. I would have said Good Job! if you had given just a little more.
