the life of self-provision.
Is not the treasure in Heaven,
and the gift of salvation priceless?
What reward awaits in personal achievement?
Are these not the roads of pagans?
How precious is the ticking clock,
which proclaims the coming of Jesus?
The blue marble holds many souls,
most of which are damned to infernos.
Brothers watch and take grace for granted,
careless to the destiny of sinners.
Sad are all who see and do not act,
who look for tomorrow and not eternity.
You were all once dead but then found,
and now live among the living dead.
Behold, the life of self is an empty cup,
but crucified is a fisher of men.
The word is bread for the soul,
and true love the key to understanding.
Knowledge is powerful,
Knowledge is comfort,
Knowledge is joy,
But soul-winning is the mission.
May the house of the Lord be filled.
