What is a fire-fighter
But a man who tempts the fire
Without regard for his own lifes desire
He would walk right through the Prince of the flame
Without fear, to save lives
And his partner would do the same
Their bodies are made of flesh and bone
But their hearts are of courage and stone
A fire-fighter will continue into danger ahead
While other men would run away instead
A fire-fighter gives away his life
Day after day
Not able to be there for his children or his wife
Waiting.......Waiting to be called into service
When the bells ring
And the speaker will blair
He will go into action
Against the flames he will dare
To save property and life
Ever mindful that he may never again see his children
or his wife
Every fire-fighter should know
That when they are in the thick of the flames
God not only knows their name
He is there with them
Because God also believes in their claim
“To protect and serve”
