Salvation


Lord I'm so glad that you found me. Lord I couldn't imagine my life without you. I was once lost and all alone in a dark and dreary place. I was so confused and full of emptiness. Still, I could hear your faint voice calling me like a whisper in the wind. But I didn't listen. No, Lord I wouldn't listen.

Until one Sunday morning, the Holy Spirit's power was too strong to ignore. And all my fears, yes all my fears had faded away. My heart was full of a great desire and a longing to know you more. My body was trembling and I began to cry, for I knew God had been preparing me for this special day.

And as I finished the sinner's prayer a tranquil peace came over me. I was so thankful that I finally chose to surrender, yes I finally surrended my life to you. And now my life has so much more meaning than before. Your living water refreshes me and renews my soul. Your word is everlasting and your promises are true. My love and devotion for you grows deeper each day.

(This is an original poem about my salvation). The rest of my testimony will be written in a book that God has called me to write. I hope to complete the book some time earlier next year.

I like the note at the end letting us know that these are your true feelings. Though, I would've liked to have seen a longer piece.

I liked how you heard God's whisper, but still refused to listen. Unfortunately, this happens with many of us.

Good luck with your book. Keep it up.
