I marvel when I look back at my life. Somehow I feel I don’t deserve all the blessings and the abundance that You have so graciously given to me. Why God? Why do you bless me so much? I’m not a perfect person. I mess up time and time again. Why do you pour out your goodness on me each and every day? Thank You so much that Your mercy is new every morning. What more could I ask for?
I could have been born anywhere in this world, under any conditions, yet you allowed me to be born in a free land, full of opportunity and abundance. I could’ve been born to any kind of family, yet you allowed me to be born into a stable Christian home, with my every need met. What more could I ask for?
When I found myself in “trouble” at seventeen, you blessed me with a beautiful healthy baby boy and two years later another “abundant” ten pound boy. You blessed me with their father, who is a wonderful, godly husband, who loves you with all his heart. What more could I ask for?
As my children grew and our young family struggled to survive, you provided every need. For so many years with no health insurance and hardly any money for anything extra, you always provided and always kept us healthy. Then you supplied a new job, a brand new house and so many things that for so long, we had done with out. What more could I ask for?
Through the challenges of the teen years of my boys, you have always been there, to encourage me to keep on praying, to keep on believing, that "this too shall pass" (thank God!). Through the attitudes, the driver’s licensing, the proms, the girlfriends, the long talks, the breakups, the heartaches, and the tears, (theirs and mine) You always supply your abundant grace. What more could I ask for?
God, my life has had its troubles and trials, but when I look back, that is not what I see. All I see is how good You have been to me and how abundantly you bless those who love you and call you Lord. God, I don’t know what else the future holds, but I sure do feel abundantly blessed. No matter what happens though...I know I have you. What more could I ask for?
Sincerly,
Your Abundantly Blessed Daughter
