Expectations…expectations…

The kind of light that twinkles in the eyes of a couple at the sight of their newborn babe is the last sparkle that I wish to see before I take my final breath. It is the same kind of light that glows in my heart during my long and lonely journeys across the sea of cold black. It is the light that shines from the gates of Heaven and leads to eternal glory. It is the light of hope: life everlasting.

Now, watching…

The last sound that I wish to hear before I pass from this old world is the kind of music that ushers me to the realm of the heavenly. It is the same kind of sound that lifts my spirit up when I am alone in the valley. It proceeds from the mouth of Him that breathes inspiration and revives my innermost part so that I can run the race and finish strong. It is the voice of hope: grace divine.

Now, singing…

The last face that I wish to behold in my final moment as a mortal being is that which belongs to the One who personifies everything that I ever needed and longed for. In His everlasting arms I shall rest as He welcomes me home. There, all my sorrows will turn to gladness; all my pain will be gone; all my expectations will be met; and my faith will reach its end. It’s all in Him – in Him alone.

Interesting - the word "hope" is abridged; I guess "wish" is interchangable.

This is a sweet picture of the hope that we have for the future. I didn't quite understand this sentence "It is the same kind of light that glows in my heart during my long and lonely journeys across the sea of cold black."

A very different angle on sharing your hope. Interesting, and of all the entries thus far makes me think about what I might hope for at that last moment.
