Topic: Enter (02/27/06)
I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart; I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice, for He has made me glad. He has made me glad. He has made me glad. I will rejoice, for He has made me gl-a-a-a-d! He has made me glad. He has made me glad. I will rejoice for He has made me glad!

As I think of the words of the song quoted above, I am reminded that, first, we have to enter His gates with thanksgiving. Then we enter His courts with praise. It goes on to say in Psalm 100:4 be thankful to Him and bless His Name! Sometimes I think we wait on Him to make us joyful. When, all the time, He instructs us to enter into that joy by entering His gates and His courts. I believe that unless we enter, we could be left out. Enter is an action verb. It requires action on our part. As we enter….it initiates His joy! He doesn’t want us to “stand on the sidelines,” wishing we could enter. He gives us permission to enter! He even instructs us to do so.

We miss out on many of the things of God by not entering in through the door he places before us. He says to the church in Philadelphia in Revelations 3:8….I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it… No man can shut it! However, that does not mean that we will go through it. If we don’t enter the open doors He puts in front of us, then we will never receive the blessings He had intended for us. Enter in, my friend, enter in!

I would like to challenge you, as well as myself, to begin to enter. Enter into His praise; enter through the doors He places in front of you. Hebrews 3:18 indicates that we do not enter because of unbelief. I know that in this verse it is talking about entering into His rest, but I believe this principle can be applied to other times we fail to enter.

Enter in from now on, and be blessed! Don’t miss out on the many blessings He intends by failing to enter.

The "enter" was repeated so often I felt I was being beaten over the head with it. There was good scripture and content though.

Very well written.It is easy to be in that mindset of receiving and then believing.We expect to have and can feel entitled to receive before we enter in to that loving grace that comes from entering His gates and courts as we praise Him. God Bless you as you write and encourage the Body of Christ!

Well written with good content throughout. Our mindset can be so far off the mark when it comes to entering into a relationship with the Lord. We always need to be reminded that it takes us to enitiate and at times to follow thorough. Thank you for reminding us again of our need and Bless you for your desire to write for Him!
