Getting ready to write a poem
Wondering what it will be
Then, I get this feeling
That’s deep inside of me
It tells me I am hungry
But I’m just getting started
I pause … waiting
Till that feeling is departed
The longer I sit waiting
The more angry I do get
It turns into hunger anger
Time to get the feed I bet
Put down the knife and fork
Feed hunger food that’s meet
Hunger and thirst for God’s Word
Righteous anger feels the heat
Told to be both hungry and full
To abound and to suffer need
To have anger but sin not
Don’t give the devil any seed
Have a righteous anger for God
And a hungering for the Word
There is no other life eternal
Hangry when needed is not absurd
Be hangry for the Christ
It is the Christ Lord Jesus
Hangry for the Word of God
In Jesus, Father it pleases
The Bible says Jesus hungered
And he had a righteous anger
To help let you know a little
And to keep you out of danger
Jesus’ anger was in Father’s house
A house of prayer it is to be
His hunger was after forty days
In the desert dry you see
Put the devil in his place
And started his ministry here
Telling people to love their enemy
To be true and have no fear
To believe, be true and trust
Christ Jesus for everlasting life
To live this life with hunger
With the anger of your strife
Hangry for the Word of the Lord
To be guided and led in life
To pick up the Holy Spirit’s sword
And to be the Bridegroom’s wife
But while upon this earth
Don’t follow your own heart
Seek and search for God
Be one that’s set apart
Confess your sin to Father
With Jesus as your Saviour
Know that it’s that simple
Believe and gain God’s favor
Hungry for his mercy and grace
With anger at the sins of men
Helping others find life eternal
Knowing it won’t be done again
Put your trust in Christ Lord Jesus
With praise and glory for Father
Being overfilled with the Holy Spirit
These three you want to bother
