As a teenager, I was bullied by 2 guys whom I went to high school with. I asked for God's compassion, and I prayed that God would get through these boys spiritually. They said to me,
"Jesus hates you!" I felt sad that they said that to me. Another thing was whenever I could not understand my brother was saying he told me that I was very stupid and very dumb. I thought should he be telling this when he attended Christian school. I felt my parents spoiled him to death. I felt that he was favored more than I was.
I had a younger brother who attended Christian school, and he never acted spoiled. I felt sorry for myself for being slow in school. I thought why was I born that way. Did God really meant for me to be that way. My neighbor told that I turned out the way God wanted me to be.
I told my mother that I was going to commit suicide because when I was in grade 12, I was not sure what I was going to do next like attend college or work.
After high school, I was in a vocation program with clients who learning problems, and I got job working in a hospital for 2 months. I had a good recommendation from there which I was capable and reliable. After that
my next placement a restaurant where they served vegetarian food. I worked for 4 months. The staff there were friendly. I felt that God helping me with my future. 2 years later I got a permanent job there for 6 years before working a deli for 30 years.
I have to keep seeking comfort, and count my blessing for the gift I have in writing. I am working slowly on a novel. I don't know when I am going to finish it, but I know that I have to keep putting forth the effort.
