Christ’s sacrifice upon that cross

Somehow just sets us free

He died, but then God raised Him up

We find that hard to see



In this life we feel entrapped

Sometimes by fears within

Not fully understanding that

Christ took away our sin



We all are called to just believe

“It was finished” – we were lost

God’s grace beyond all measure

Sacrificed Christ on that cross



To somehow make a way for all

Who’d strayed since Adam’s fall

It was the perfect sacrifice

Planned especially for all



God resurrected Jesus

Took Him home to heaven

Christ is with His Father now

Knows man can be forgiven



The Holy Spirit’s been sent down

To help us here to know

Christ will come again one day

God His Father made that vow



We know there is a home for us

When Jesus comes again

He’s coming on that wondrous cloud

With hosts of angels then



Creation will bow down to Him

Man will know his sin and shame

Even those who’ve pierced Him

Will know He took their blame



On that day when Christ arrives

Life will change for all mankind

Those who’ve loved the Lord of Life

Will be renewed in soul and mind



Christ paved the way to heaven

For mankind to know rebirth

Is given to believers

Who know Christ came to earth



God our Father sees us all

As sons and daughters too

Redeemed and given life again

If our faith in Christ hangs true



From that old wooden cross

I have been set free

Christ their took all sin

From you and from me



I plead you believe that it’s true

What God in Christ did for you

Every word full of His grace.
Nicely written and set out.
I was holding my breath, 'where is the plea, where is the topic?
Then ahhh.
Lovely. The whole poem led to the last two lines.

This is a beautiful poem. I can feel your passion in every line. You used the topic word at the very end, but the entire piece is not on topic. If you took that last line off, there wouldn't be any mention of the topic. Being on topic is one of the eight criteria, so it's important to make sure the topic word is the main idea. Your words definitely have a purpose in them and you ur desire to spread the Word with others is palpable, which isn't easy to do. You have a clear message. This would be lovely on a card or a plaque. I look forward to reading more of your work.
