Topic: HONOR (04/28/22)
When I think of the step of obedience, I think honoring my parents which I did not always do. I also think obeying God, and his ten commandments. When I was in elementary and high school, I always listened to my teachers when I had to complete assignments.

When my husband tells me to listen to him, I don't always do so because he yells at me for me. for example he would say,

"Listen to me, retard."

Do you honestly think I should listen to that? I don't think so!

When my daughter tells me to listen to her, and tell her that I am sorry when I do something wrong. I have to look directly at her or she keeps telling me to listen to her. I will not listen to if she yells at me. I would just leave the room.

I believe that I should obey God, and ask Him to show me the way whenever I am troubled over bills or making difficult decisions about my job. I feel that I should start attending church which i have not for a while because of covid and my job.


I know that I should obey God, and that he would gently lead me in the direction that He would want me to be

You are describing verbal abuse. No one should have to listen to that. You and your family should look into counseling.

Sorry, what you're enduring in your life. Thank you for sharing with us publicly. I pray that you will find someone to "speak" with, whether it's a church official, or good friend. Most especially, seek God for all of your answers.
