Those years were worry-filled years for me. So doing cross-stitch was a God given outlet for me. To get the pattern right, I need to keep count of the stitches. Losing the count of the stitches makes bad impact on the design. I started doing cross-stitch and soon felt interested to try selling in EBay. I made greeting cards with cross-stitched patterns. The first item that I made sold with no issues. The second item was not satisfactory for the customer because I wasn’t expert in making it good yet. The customer left a harsh comment and so I apologized and refunded her payment. I felt so hurt as I did not have the courage to take negative comments at the time. That day I went to attend Sunday service in church. I felt so hurt by the negative comment and so I whined to God that I am not going to do cross-stitch anymore. So amazingly, by the time I got home, God had changed my heart to shrug off the comment and to focus on improving the skill. And I did just that.
God truly blessed this effort. Soon I started selling every item that I listed. I got repetitive customers. I started selling cross-stitch to make a little bit of money to buy gifts for my husband and my son. Soon, God blessed it so much that I even gave a 10% of that humble amount as offering.
I see God’s faithfulness in everything He does. God could have taught me any skill but He chose to teach me cross-stitch because that helped me to not mechanically do like crochet or knitting, but to be focused on keeping the count of the stitches. God helped me to sell more than 100 items of cross-stitch.

It's very difficult when one receives "negative reviews." I can identify with that.
One of my first books way back in 2008, "one" person left such a scathing review, mocking me and calling me a juvenile writer and imbecile, and it brough me to the point of tears. It also thwarted the sale of my book.
I was able to get by it with God's love and went on to write more books. But, to this day, I still remember that horrifically mean review.
Eventually, I realized, people who take the time to write such reviews, more than likely have a shallow life, and relish the thrill and the control to hurt someone.
So I forgave and prayed for that person.
Thank you for sharing with us, and so happy that your hobby and gift from God took off to soaring heights.
I must look up your items, when I find out who you are! LOL
Blessings~
