For the betrayal, you wanted 30 pounds
To deliver the Savior you once loved you turned your back on
For the temporary token of torture and torment
A pound of silver you wanted to spend.
A betrayal with the kiss of death
You left our Savior and He was arrested.
How could you! But to fulfill the Scriptures,
To Save the World, a pound was given.
The plan enacted and devised,
So that our Savior might rise
And the betrayer might return with blood on his hands
To the leaders and scribes of the land.
A pound, a simple pound
Something that can be destroyed or buried underground
Was left on the table as the betrayer ran away
To take his own life that day.
But our Savior knew,
What he would do,
It was all in the plan from the beginning.
The pound, a shekel of silver
A pound of monstrous greed
A demonic pleasure
An evil deed.

I'm not a poet, meaning I'm not familiar with its rules, but I think your entry is well done.
You definitely covered the topic. I enjoyed reading it. It was very good insight of Judas and what he did to our Savior.
