My husband finally talked me into traveling to see the western part of the United States. It was quite the experience to behold the view of the Grand Canyon and the amazing Rocky Mountains. However I could not wait to come back home! After days and days of traveling I became more stressed and needed to relax in my own environment surrounded by the love of my family.
Sometimes I believe our life of traveling to and from one event to another can be just as stressful. We find ourselves longing for a peaceful rest . God can give us rest when we spend time with him and dwell on his words.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:2-3a NIV
Returning home after a lovely vacation is a great time to remember that our God is the creator of those beautiful destinations and also the creator of rest. Draw closer to him and know that he is the giver of all good things and be thankful for the love he has for all his creation .
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:11-12 NIV

Our world has many different beautiful landscapes created by God. Deserts, plains, mountains or beaches are ppopular vacation choices. One year, my family and I went to the beach. Sitting by the ocean and listening to the waves relaxed me and helped to rid my mind of stress.
Years later, my husband took me to see the western states...
This is just a quick example of what I mean. Since many devotions have a low word limit, tightening it will make it eligible to be printed. You have a relatable experience and a nice clear message. After you tweak it some, I'd urge you to submit it for a FW devotion.
I agree with the previous comments.
I often suggest reading your entry out loud to yourself to hear how it flows. That might help you to tighten it up a little bit.
