Topic: FRESH (04/29/21)
I am almost ashamed (but not really) to admit that I look forward eagerly to new things.

The anticipation of visiting a new place or experiencing something new is exciting and I am usually as impatient as a child asking “Are we there yet?” when the journey just started.

A vacation for instance is exciting because it is a chance to see and do things that are different and unique, a chance to leave my ordinary life behind and visit a place that I have been looking forward to seeing and experiencing.

New...different...unfamiliar...unique. These are things we anticipate, things that excite us and things we look forward to with joy and anticipation.

Our amazing God has made us a promise of new things to come.

In Isaiah 65:17 (NIV) God says this: For behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

And Peter says this: But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13-NIV)

God always keeps His promises.

His new place will be fresh and clean and beautiful and wonderful!

We will live righteously and peacefully with Him, forever enjoying His new heaven and earth.

This is truly something new to anticipate with joy and excitement!

I like this, short and to the point. Just this morning I was telling a friend, every morning I pray Lord, your Kingdom come, as I too look forward to the new world.

I too love new beginnings so I thoroughly enjoyed how you started this work. Even the first day of a new month excites me. I always look forward to what God has in store for me in that next month. I am not an expert, but I noticed that you started out using "I" and then switch to "we." I don't know if that is something an expert could explain to you but for me it was distracting. Other than that, I like your take on the word challenge.

I enjoyed reading your perspective on the topic.

Might I suggest reading your entry out loud to yourself to see how the sentences flow.

Also their is a section in the forums "Jan and Ann's grammar and writing basics," that you might find helpful.

This is a lovely testimony. I can feel your passion and excitement. Be careful how many times you use the same word. I bet you'll be surprised how many times you use the word new in this short piece. You have a clear message. I was a bit confused about the last line Are we there yet? At first I thought you meant are we at the new heaven and earth, but later figured out that it meant are we excited yet. Just be careful of your wording and have someone read it aloud. That has helped me so much. You definitely wrote on topic and delivered a clear message.

I loved your article! Nothing to be ashamed about, in fact I think our Father would prefer us to be in anticipation and excited than to be "bored," taking things for granted and being unappreciative. Congratulations!
