"We will create this tower unlike anything that mankind has seen," exclaimed Maccabee. A determined, 6'1" tall, band complected, muscular built man. Holding a self made, hammer like tool, in one hand and raising the other with a spear towards the sky.
"Mankind will reach for the gods!" "We will become gods," shouted Alvon, with expectation in his cry.
Mankind had came together as one. Set with purpose and anticipation. They were mind melting a plan to reach the heavens. To build a unique, one of a kind, enigma tower.
They had become unified in their thoughts, language, and goal to rule the world. To build themselves a kingdom that they would dominate. And, a tower to display their thirst for power and to be the pinnacle of their reign.
"Build! Build," yelled Samir, cupping his hands around his mouth.
Adrenaline was rushing through the mens veins. Filling them with fervor and desire.
"Construct more bricks," bellowed Samir.
Another boisterous man from the crowd shouted, "Pour the mortar!"
This was no coincidence that these men were using oven fired bricks and asphalt for mortar. The bricks were a symbol of the condition of their hearts towards the One True God. The asphalt also carried with it a symbolic nuance, meaning to rise to the surface.
Rows after rows of spiraling like ramps, twisted, and weaved its way up higher and higher towards the gray tinted sky.
Mankind had become cooperative. A collected cohesion of one mind, plan, and mission. There was nothing stopping them now. They would reach the heavens and rule this earth and kingdom they were building. They believed they were of one essence and would, themselves, become gods.
Pride is something that breeds in the hearts of man. It is like a black poisonous seed, that when watered and cultivated, will flourish into an uncontrollable force.
"We are one! We are great! We will rise," roared the crowd. "Nothing will stop us now!"
High above the mystical grey tinted sky, were piercing eyes like a flame of fire, fully aware and attentive of what was transpiring on the earth He created below.
"This will not come to completion," thundered a voice across the majestic universe.
Suddenly, the cosmos began to roll back like an ancient scroll, and gave way to their Creator.
Soaring through time and space, the One True Reigning King was coming with power, authority, and order. Mankind was in His sight and their, pride driven, pugnacious tower would fall.
