The call of the beach, waves, seagulls, and toes in the sand.
I can’t wait to taste the salt water on my tongue, it stands to reason.
Digging for seashells, and enjoying a drink from the lemonade stand.
I stroll down to the dock, looking to see all the wonderful creatures.
The birds that fly high in the sky, and the few I see along the pier.
Thanking God for all of these wonderful things I’ve come to love in nature.
Reminding me always in Him, I will faithfully draw near.
For a moment my heart smiles, as I think of how blessed I must be.
While life at times, may feel as though I’m lost and broken.
Yet, in this beauty, I see His great love for me.
My soul finds comfort in this small token.
Strolling along, I see the broken sea shells near my feet.
I pick one up as a reminder of the life I’ve so eagerly led.
Once broken and mended, by the beauty of His love so sweet.
These shells I take, to remind me you are near, so I’ve read.
I gather my things as it’s time to go.
Though, it’s the place I drew closer to God and His love.
I still rejoice for the things I’ve been through.
I’m grateful for this beach, the sea shells I kept, and the lessons from above.
Like, I am loved by God and God alone.
Not just for today or tomorrow, but always.
The broken sea shells I found are mine and mine alone.
Reminding me of where I have been, and what I have learned today.
