Didn’t you know that my house is on shaky ground?
The lights are out.
The windows are locked.
The steps are broken.
The foundation is weak.
Why are You here?
Don’t you hear the echoes of weeping from within the walls of my desperate soul?
I call!
I scream!
I reach for the handle, but I slip and fall down again.
I cannot get to the door to let You in.
Crying on my back at the bottom of this pit,
I open my eyes to see Your grace looking down at me.
Your hand outstretched toward my brokenness.
You have the strength of many men, and the power of many more.
You touch me and I ask, how did You get in here?
Then You graciously say, “Daughter, you gave Me the key when you called out My name.”
