A greedy person loves his food.
He'd be called a glutton.
He does not know when to stop
even if its only mutton.

A miser is a greedy man
amassing more than his share,
storing up his collected wealth
from who knows not where.

Greed is a grievous sin
when eyes are green with envy,
till he grabs what is not his
and ends up in the clink.

Greed was his undoing,
he lusted for others things,
till he must have them,
the problems that this brings.

Greedy guts, yes you must
learn to curb your appetite
for things you eat, things you meet,
things that are not quite right.

Gimme gimme everything
I see I want to possess,
to make it belong to me,
everything in excess.

Jesus said to men
"Life is more important than food
body more important than clothes,
that advice is good.
