from your Hold Word and I never fully understood nor could
even begin to grasp what you were saying until You opened
my mind and eyes to see and understand its full meaning.
Father, a child does not question nor do they turn
and walk away, but they trust and obey.
A child gazes into the loving eyes of their father and
knows they are love and accepted for who they are.
Lord it doesn't matter what age I am, because I am
still a child created in Your image and a child respects
their father listening to what he has to say and Your
Holy Word tell me how I should live my life.
I live in a fallen world and sometimes I stumble and fall
causing Your Spirit untold heartache and grief, but You reach
out saying; "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest."
In Mark 10:15, Your words are easily understood by a child.
"Truly i tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom
of God like a little child will never enter it."
I was blinded to the simplicity of what You were saying.
I'm You child and I trust in You with all my heart
and lean not on my own understanding; in all
my ways I acknowledge you, and You will make my paths
straight.
Now when you say come to me I joyfully run
into the open waiting arms of Jesus my Lord
and Savior with the abandon of a child who has
been set free.
