Topic: TRAVELER (01/28/16)
Yesterday my sister I and was having lunch with my dear friend Mrs. Polly. She's an 84 yr old sweetie that loves the Lord, and we are probably one of the only friends she still has left and so I take her to lunch from time to time and we talk a lot about the Lord.
As we all were talking, we spoke of how many times in life we have gotten off the highway God intended for us to travel and took off-ramps of our own choosing.
We had all taken off-ramps of pleasure, marriage, careers, sex, gambling, high-life, glamour, flashy lights, pomp and circumstance at one time or another.
We discussed how each of those exits had lead to nothing but emptiness, sorrow and sin.
It was then that the Lord spoke this through me and I began to say,
"Yes, you have all made mistakes and sinned. You have all taken roads I never intended for you to take and it displeased me much to see you suffer so. You have had to pay dearly for those decisions, and I wept with you each time.
But just remember one thing, in every one of those cases, I always provided several exits along the way. No matter how dark the road was that you traveled, when you finally got weary and worn, I caused there to be a brightly illuminated exit that lead you back to the straight and narrow highway. One that would bring joy back to your life. It is the highway of destiny,.....your destiny..... and it leads home, My home where you belong.
Stay on it, till you reach the destination (destiny) that i brought you into this world to reach, and you will not only please Me greatly, but signs and wonders will follow, and joy unspeakable full of glory will be yours forever."
Since the 1st of this year I have taken that exit provided by God and left the road I was on, and His joy has returned. I am coming back to where I belong....and on the highway to my personal destination, and it is my greatest hope that if you are not currently traveling on "GOD's Highway of LIFE," and if you have taken one of those side roads to sorrow, I pray that you will get off on the next illuminated exit and come back to where you to belong. Come back and there shall be rest-stops in green pastures and peace by the still waters,....... and fulfill the destiny God intended for you.........in Jesus Holy name I speak this into your life......Amen.

I'm glad stands beside us even when we stray from His plans.

You have a good message, but watch out for run-on sentences. Also, the verb in the first sentence should be were and not was.

Good story placed in an everyday context. A story such as this never gets old and is always encouraging for "His mercies are new every morning." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

This was very encouraging to me as I am one who has taken off ramps before, usually because I followed my logic instead of God's leading. You are so right about Him giving us a way to get back on track.
