It’s all part of the process of love sometimes.
She has a path to find. I’m just a spark in her life.
I guess I'm a kind soul.
One who helped out, secretly wishing I was the right man.
Did I show too much love at the wrong times? Perhaps!
Time passes, she still hasn’t called.
I stepped away for a while and the phone is still dark.
I wonder if she’s happy and writing, she has so much in her life she wants to discover.
It’s hard to be in love. Perhaps that’s why so many relationships don’t last.
But when one is ready and the other is not, that makes love seem like a foolish path.
Certainly the one who is ready may get frustrated if nothing is happening. I don’t know why I try so hard? I know it’s supposed to come easy. I‘m healthy, really I am. Stable in my life, compared to some I am doing quite well. I have always walked with Jesus. It just made sense to do so. That way I would attract someone who believes in the same love.
Is it possible I am waiting for a different call? I plant positive seeds and embrace them all. As I'm waiting, I write, play my guitar and sing. I sometimes write about God’s creations, as it is His creation that I see.
But still the words I express always have something to do with her or of “us”. Beautiful love stories, I just can’t resist.
When one is with love, isn’t that the way things are supposed to be?
I’m smitten over a girl who recently moved ninety miles away. That’s not far as we’re both busy these days trying to get our feet back on the ground.
Today is Sunday, we have a date! It has been awhile and I looked forward to this day. I love Sundays too. I can finally hear her voice and see her face. When I get the chance to see her I realize how much she means to me in my life. She is worth the efforts of any length of wait. I’m a patient man.
Today we’ll go to church. The sun will shine and we’ll walk through a citrus garden on a guided tour tasting fruits, some I have never tried before. She’s so good at introducing me to new things to try. I remember when she said that about me when we lived closer to each other.
The evening is upon us. I'm working hard preparing dinner for her and her parents. She has such amazing parents and I do love and appreciate them both. I miss my parents as they passed away over 20 years ago. I guess I am invested in her life on many levels, as she says I am.
To me, family is a reason I believe in Jesus. Jesus, God’s son, is the one that we learn to focus on. A gift God gave us around two thousands years ago. I like gifts of Love. I know she does too.
Perhaps I’m really waiting to “Come home”. To a place where life would be Heaven, stable with love and have a purpose with acknowledgment of praise and trust. I know God will love me, no matter how long I sit here and wait for her calls. He knows the time I will “Come home” to him, he even knows the date. He never once broke my heart. I know he’s always with me.
It’s nice when the stories I write make sense to someone else. Sometimes a person’s path is on a different level, especially after they have suffered a major loss.
I realize we all want that right mate in life. I know mine is with Jesus. I trust who stands in front of me is one that God delivered.
I watch for signs of love and affection that happen exactly when they are needed. I accept and understand that sometimes it is hard to love. Loving Jesus and a beautiful lady at the same time… That’s a gift one won’t ever return.
Love, It’s even harder with technology. All the options we have to choose from. They distract us from standing right in front of each other.
I try to walk as Jesus did and still does. I know I’m not perfect, I know I’ll make mistakes. But I just love to love you more every day!
