There is, a file.
No matter how meek, how timid,
Disconcerting, nor how wise..
There is in each man's life,
A file.
Now bearing this in mind,
A file, kept by angels of
Our words and deeds;
If we should take this into account..
Would there be,
sorrow, heartache, or grief?
Would there be,
doubt and disbelief?
And would we then find reason,
For all manner of wars to start?
Would we find, one broken heart?
Or this world God made,
being torn apart?
For everything we say and do
Is laid bare upon that file
Til' our dying day;
when we will hear God say,
"If only you could have sat,
And pondered,
Taken the time,
to think beyond your
words and deeds a while!"
If we could all speak and do,
All that which is good and true..
Would then this world be,
A better place?
A sweet untainted harmonious
Space; for me and you?
And would there then remain,
Upon each man's face,
An unerasable,
unfailingly familiar smile,
Glowing in all of
Our maker's grace?

Therefore to some degree, we can't complain if we are the cause of the problems surrounding us.
And Yes, our file will be opened. What will it be filled with even for one day? Will Jesus smile for today's entry.
I have a tiny bit of red ink. I know in poetry, punctuation can be a style choice, but you had a comma after the word is in the beginning. Rarely do you put a comma after a verb unless you have a parenthetical phrase. Also an ellipsis should have three dots...These are little things. Many people may not notice them, but it did make me pause for just a second.
Your piece is too powerful for that pause. After that the words propelled me forward. I think you did a splendid job on this and you really made me aware of my own actions. It was a blessing to read this.
