Psalm 6:5 says, "The loving kindness of God extends to the heavens." John 3:16 is the bedrock of God's love. He loves us so much He sent Jesus to give us eternal life.
The love of God passes our understanding. In return He simply asks us to listen, obey, trust Him in faith and love Him with our heart, mind and soul.
When we sin, He forgives. When we cry, He comforts us. When we don't know where to go, He direct us. He picks us up and mends us. When we are lonely, He is our friend.
God's love is steadfast and constant. He does not change. His love is powerful and able to change us.
God's love will never expire because His "loving kindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness is to all generations."
Finally, we have complete assurance from the Word of God's love. Romans 8:38-39 tells us that "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
