a large fire burning within,
a big desire, igniting, burning,
Growing, crawling up my skin.
I desire the hum to grow loud,
the melody to rise above,
fill my ears with its beauty,
and fly around me in Love.
I’m staring at the light,
illuminating in the dark,
wishing it would consume me,
wondering if it will spark.
I reach out for the bud,
I wish it would grow,
expand and fill with color,
so it’s beauty would show.
I am a small flame,
my life a quiet hum,
My soul has no light,
my spirit a tiny crumb.
I desperately cry out,
asking to forgive my sin,
I want my life to sing,
and the melody to begin.
He lays his hands on me,
“you are forgiven, my child”,
I can feel the flame grow,
and my spirit smile.
The quiet hum of my life,
turns into a song,
The bud grows into a rose,
The flame now a fire, so strong.
