Solomon asked for and received wisdom from God. He was considered the wisest man in the Bible. When he followed God's Word, his life was full of meaning. Solomon was blessed with material and spiritual riches beyond his imagination. Unfortunately, Solomon pursued foreign women and his heart forgot wisdom. Soon his life was filled with chaos and unhappiness.

Proverbs 2:4, 7-10 commands us to seek wisdom. As we meditate on God's Word, wisdom fills our heads and hearts. Obedience to the Lord shapes wisdom into our daily lives.

James 1:5-6 calls us to pray for wisdom. When we communicate with God, we find wisdom.

Proverbs 6:6-10 and 14:16 explains how God works in our lives. As we seek His understanding, He directs our activities and decisions.

Proverbs 12:15 and 13:10, 20 encourages us to heed godly counseling. We make good decisions when we follow His counseling and not man's.

When we associate with those that follow God's Word, we gain insight from their struggles and triumphs.

As we seek understanding, meditate on God's Word, pray, obtain His direction and counsel, and choose wise companions, we accent wisdom to live an abundant Christian life.
