When the big story broke
That I wasn’t all that
You would’ve choked
Isn’t that the same thing
You tried to tell me
What a difference a day makes
The blind now see

Had to hear the news from someone else
And oh the change
That’s been made in such a short time
God I know is the one who gets the credit for
This turnaround, couldn’t happen on its own
You always told me someday
That I’d reach a plateau
I scoffed every time you did

How incredibly wrong
I never saw it coming
