and the desire of many
a man, woman and child.
But at what price is peace?
Is it the total coexistence of all
faiths and creeds?
Everyone having their own
Breathing space.
Is that truly peace?
Is it best to avoid war?
So that all may dwell
in peacefulness?
Or is war the means
So that society may truly
Enjoy peace and rest?
Kingdoms have crumbled
And cultures have fallen into
Total oblivion all because of war.
Nations have marched
Flags have been flown and many
And songs have been sung—
All because of war.
On the other hands
New countries have been birthed
On the knees of revolutions.
Hope has risen anew
When tyrants, dictators and Fuhrers
Are routed from their seats of
Anarchy, cruelty and injustice.
King David of the Bible
was a Warrior-King
And he was called a man after
God’s own heart.
Moreover, even Jesus Christ, said of himself,
“Do not suppose that I came to bring peace,
But a sword.” Matthew 10:34
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
And yet someday there will be no more need
For mankind to learn or practice the craft of war.
For the word of God states in the Book of Isaiah 2:4 –(KJV)
“They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning-hooks:
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war any more.”
And there will be peace and finally the chance to rest
As it was meant to be from the beginning of creation.
In the new heaven and the new earth.
And the Wolf will truly lie down with the Lamb.
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”
Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)
AMEN
And may it so be
In our Lord’s Loving Grace
& Good Will.
