That special hour, that special time
When I will see your smiling face
As it arrives home so close to mine…
For its only your sweet smiling face
That allows me to share in its joy too
leaving a radiant glow that does come to life
Deep in my heart because of you
For so lonely were the moments of my day
When your face I could not see
With my heart begging for the sound of your tender voice
Wanting to embrace more than a lonely dream
I listen carefully to the outside sounds
As that special time of day draws near
Always longing for just the sight of you
Waiting for your smiling face to appear
For that’s when time greets me with a lovely reality
causing my heart to leap with such anxious joy
For you came home and kissed me with your smile
In a most treasured time that each day I enjoy.
