Breath-taking view of God's ocean
Enticing us to the shore
A vista to cherish and savor
Calling us to explore
Heaven shining above us …
God beckoning us to soar!

Slipping carefully into the warm, soft sand, we move forward with our gaze focused on the pounding waves straight ahead. As we are transformed into this tranquil world, we feel our tensions ease and we feel the peace of being closer to God and His Universe. The sights, smells, and sounds of the beach touch our hearts, melt our pain, and make us feel young and free.

But, it's more than that…it's enjoying what God created just for us. It's seeing the awesome majesty of the ocean, feeling great peace and serenity as we walk along the shore, and appreciating the beauty of the whole panorama that lies before us as we try to take it all in.

This moment is so full of wonder that, years later, we will still smell the salt air, picture the sea gulls flying above, and 'feel' the power in the rush of the waves as they crash along the shoreline. Once we experience this, it stays with us forever and becomes part of us …

Just like God's love.
