They run around this sun filled day
They scatter out and all about
As they play Hide and Seek
Under blue and sunny skies
One child covers up her eyes
She counts out loud and is so proud
That she would never peek
She searches all around the yard
It really isn't very hard
To try to spy each little spry
And happy playmate near
She spots one then and she cries out
In a happy, cheerful shout
"Peek-a-boo! I see you!"
Her voice is loud and clear
I watch them and I think that I
Am sometimes hiding right nearby
From God for fear that I am here
But feeling very low
I feel forlorn and all alone
A sadness I have seldom known
I wonder why it is that I
Think God just does not know
But Father God in his great Way
Will see me and I feel him say
"Peek-a-boo! I see you!
I love you as you are!"
