And the grass is green
Up in Heaven
There are mansions there
I’d be glad to say
Up there in Heaven land
Momma’s up in Heaven
Called her on the phone
Called her on the phone
To say hello one night
When I called her on the phone
I began to pray
I know my momma had a need
She knows I know her need
Momma’s up in Heaven
Called on the phone
All the streets are gold
And the grass is green
Up in Heaven
There’s a mansion there
I’d be glad to say
Up there in Heaven land
Momma’s up in Heaven
Called her on the phone
Told her not to cry
To say this prayer with me
When I called on her on the phone
We began to pray
