There will be no doubt that Jesus is back
As He ascends from Heaven, the faithful will shout
The graves will open and the dead will come out
His coming is so bright, I can’t even see
But I know by His promise, that He’s come for me
He looks so majestic with His golden crown
As the faithful followers gather around
Well done good and faithful ones, you’ll no more roam
Today is the day that I’m taking you home
As we soar through the sky, tucked under His wing
The angels in heaven begin to sing
The streets are golden, and look at that tree
Our departed love ones now we can see
Sitting with Jesus, we learn more of His word
But there’s still so much we have not heard
Our first birthday in heaven came up so fast
It was hard to believe that a year had passed
But a year is not much, compared to eternity
New lands to explore and much more to see
The years will fly by, many birthdays will pass
But I am so thankful it will never be our last
Eternity is promised, Jesus won’t let us go
Forever I’ll bask in that heavenly glow.
