TITLE: The Street, Power, and Salvation | Previous Challenge Entry

I was two blocks away just finishing up on a fellow when the Lord spoke to me and told me that I had a couple in trouble down the street.
I excused myself to the guy I was ministering to, and took off down the street. It was late and dark out which made it hard to see where they were, but I followed the directions given to me, and soon walked up to the two.
They were conversing to a man approximately twenty-six years old that looked clean cut and sounded educated. As I stood there for a minute or two listening to his convictions about monkeys and where we came from, I realized these two did not call the power of God upon him, or he would have already been convicted of his beliefs.
I intervened in a polite manner by interjecting that I can prove that Jesus is who he says he is. The guy looked up at me with a startled look and said, “How do you propose to do that?”
I returned with “if I do will you consider asking Jesus into your heart as your personal savior?”
Before he could say another word I explained to him that the power of God is God’s love, and that he is going to feel that power come down over him like pouring oil over his head, and that when this happens he would be able to freely think without head knowledge, and think with heart knowledge.
Dumbfounded, he stood perfectly still. I asked the other two to stand aside so I could close ranks. I asked him if he was ready. He said he was, so I began to tell him what I was going to do.
I told him I was going to raise my hands like this, I raised my hands above his head, and now I’m going to slowly drop my hands down around him simulating the oil being poured over him. Further I told him that the power of God would come over him as my hands fell around him.
As I proceeded the man’s face began to light up and his whole countenance began to change. When I finished he hesitated, paused, and said,
“What must I do to be saved?”
I explained that the two he was previously talking to would be happy to explain how, and they would be willing to pray with him to accept salvation.
