Sung about Jesus and His love for me
It’s wider than the heavens and deeper than the sea.
What I learned in Sunday School,
Noah built an ark with simple tools.
Animals were collected two by two’s
There were lions, tigers, and kangaroos.
What I learned in Sunday School,
David killed Goliath who was very cruel.
Swung that slingshot over his head
Hit Goliath with a stone and he fell dead.
What I learned in Sunday School,
Jesus healed a lame man who sat near a pool.
Jesus commanded him stand up and walk
The man stood and was solid as a rock.
What I learned in Sunday School,
That Jesus died by the hands of fools.
He hung on a cross in utter disgrace
And died to save the whole human race.
What I learned in Sunday School,
Jesus rose again that was super cool.
He was resurrected on the third day
His followers were glad and yelled hip-hooray.
What I learned in Sunday School,
To grasp His Word as a precious jewel.
Sharing God’s teaching my whole life long
Until I’m called to the heavenly throng.
