Crowns are a mark of royalty and authority and they are worn by people of royalty and authority. Crowns are, for the most part, made of precious metals and valuable stones and complete the outfit of sovereigns. A king can wear his robes and sit on a throne, but he really doesn’t look like he is a king without his crown; the crown is the standard for every king! In the same way, as God’s children our years on earth are to be lived royally. Our lives should be crowned with God’s goodness; it is His goodness that completes the outfit because we are royalty! We are a “royal priesthood” (1 Pet. 2:9 NKJV); the proof of our royalty is the goodness of God that crowns us every year! As we remain in God’s will every year, His abundance will be everywhere and His goodness will be the standard for all that we do. So, look for God to crown your new year with His goodness!
