With age things begin to change,
Focusing becomes harder as if out of range,
Memories get more distant than we are willing to travel,
Especially when the paths are always loose gravel,
All those smells that inspire our senses,
Those meals prepared at someone else’s expenses,
But she was there for us before we could remember,
That ninth month not always September,
She will always be the one that will continually smother,
She has no choice because she is a Mother.
