Unhappy people, you see them everywhere.
Their faces are always sad and long
and everything they do seems to go wrong.
They blame God and sing a sad song.
In their eyes when a good man dies
they blame that death on God.
They say He doesn’t love us but to
me their attitude is quite odd.
They say God has turned His back on them.
They say that God just doesn’t care,
but they forget we were born into sin and
without God we would live in utter despair.
Unhappy people are sad to see
their hearts and souls are not free.
They walk this earth as though dead
with no place to lay down there weary head.
They grumble, gripe and curse the
Lord for all their troubles and woes.
They truly have forgotten that God
still loves them so.
To all the unhappy people don’t despair
for by the death of Christ we are spared.
Our sadness this day has been taken away
all because our heavenly Father cared.
If we believe God’s holy word before the
last and final trumpet sounds and all is said
and done then we will find happiness
as we walk arm in arm with God’s son.

The flow of the poem is broken in a few places when you continue one line to the next. That could just be the way I read poetry though. At the end of a line I pause. So when a line ends with "the" or without completeing the thought, it feels broken to me.
Overall all your poem was well written and fits the topic well.
I enjoyed this, and hope you understand what I said above. That is no big deal, but I try to maintain which lines rhyme throughout the poem. God Bless and keep writing
