Oh why is it necessary? The fish are under water. You always catch a fish.
Why do you always question everything I tell you? Is it so hard to believe your old mom might be right? You are only seven years old.
Mom was old she just didn’t know how to have fun like the other moms’. She is always busy. Tall slender and very dark hair so, long it touches her waist. Mom was such a good kind person. She gave everything
away. It is very important to her that she gives to the church. Everyone in need will find her.
Freddie you are impatient. We are so lucky your grand parents left us with enough to care for us all our lives. I think you should consider giving
your favorite toy to someone who hasn’t anything to play with.
Mom do you think dad is in heaven? Bobby said, dad ran off because he didn’t want me around. Is that true mom?
Looking down at those questioning brown eyes mom felt so much love for him. Freddie was her most precious gift from God. His father deserted her within a year after his birth. He wanted nothing to do with responsibility. Grace felt so blessed. Freddie had the same dark hair as her mom. His slender body moved quickly with little to slow him down.
I think Freddie dad just didn’t think he was able to be a good father. He was an orphan himself. He didn’t understand what a good father was. Mom just what is a good father? I never had one around.
Freddie I've always been here for you. What do I do for you?
Freddie sat on the grass looking up at his mom. His head turned to one side thinking about the question she had asked him. With silence except for the water rippling as mom through her line in occasionally.
Oh! mom you do everything for me. The food ,and clothes ,but most of all you do good stuff with me. I especially like it when you sit and read to me at night before bed.
I give you love the rest is just an after through. Do you remember the stories about Jesus?
I remember he is our father in heaven. So I really do have a father who looks after me.
Yes Freddie you do. He also cares for me. We are lucky to have one another. I feel very happy to have you in my life. God has provided us with
unconditional love.
Mom you will always love me no matter what I do won’t you?
Yes Freddie I will.
Freddie sat quietly for some time. With almost a leap into the air he jumped to his feet. A smile spread slowly across his face. It was as if a new
truth had awakened. Mom I am so lucky. I have God taking care of me. I also have the most wonderful mom in the whole world.
Tears formed in her eyes as she reached down to hug her son. He really
understood . Most of all she knew he felt loved and safe. She knew the love and respect she hoped to instill in him was there. The love of God was shining through. What a wonderful reward for a mom.
